Watching the new series of the Apprentice, it suddenly occurred to me that you can’t get ‘fired’ from an interview process – however bizarre. Surely Lord Sugar (of Croydon!), should say something like ‘You’re a complete waste of space, so unfortunately and with regret I’m not going to be able to offer you the position. We will keep your details on file should any future opportunities arise’?
Okay it’s not as snappy as ‘You’re fired!’ but it would be wholly more accurate.
